Find Washington County Busted Mugshots

Ask the Washington County jail who is held today, and ask the Sheriff's Records Department for anything older than that. Those two offices split the work, because no public county photo roster has been verified here. Idaho's courts and the state corrections system answer the questions neither one can, covering what a charge became and where a sentenced person ended up. Sort current custody from an older booking before making a call, so the right desk answers the first time. A full name and an approximate date help both offices. The Records Department is the source of Washington County busted mugshots, and the court file shows how the charge was resolved.

Washington County Busted Mugshots

A booking photo is taken when someone is processed into the Washington County Jail. Idaho Code section 20-601 makes that step mandatory. Fingerprints and a photograph are part of every booking. Being photographed does not put a face on a public website, though. Nothing in the law requires that. The Sheriff's Office runs the county jail and keeps records for many county incidents. Weiser Police may hold the city police report. So an arrest report and a booking record can sit with two custodians even when they trace to one event.

The county's official site offers contact, detention, and records information. It lacks a live inmate roster, a recent-bookings feed, a booking-photo policy, or any public photo search. Worried someone was just booked? Call the jail and ask what staff can confirm. For an older booking, route the record and photo request through the Sheriff's Records Department.

39Directory average daily population
2023Directory reference year

The Idaho Sheriffs' Association publishes those jail figures in a directory dated 2023. Treat them as historical reference points. They are not a live census of who is in custody. The same directory names the facility the Washington County Detention Center. The county itself just calls it the Washington County Jail.

For a straightforward official source, the Washington County Jail page names the facility and gives its telephone line. It does not display booking photos, and it is not meant to.

Note: The arresting agency, booking facility, court, and later custody system may each hold a different part of the record.

Washington County Busted Booking Record Fields

A records request goes smoothly when it names a specific record instead of asking for a broad search. The county's Sheriff forms seek an incident date or range, a case number when known, the names of those involved, call details, and the requester's own contact information. Treat the list that follows as a planning inventory drawn from those forms and from the booking process itself. Washington County does not publish an official roster field list online. Nothing here claims every field appears on a public display.

Field or layerWhat it can show
Person and identifiersName, spelling details, aliases when held, and the identifiers needed to avoid a same-name mistake.
Case or booking numberThe Sheriff case number is requested on the county form. A booking number was not verified online, so ask the Records Unit or jail.
Arrest and booking datesThe incident or arrest date can differ from the time a person reaches the jail and is booked.
Arresting agency and placeWCSO, Weiser Police, Idaho State Police, or another agency, plus the city or county setting of the incident.
Charge as bookedThe charge recorded at intake. It can change in the court case and does not establish guilt.
Bond or bailFinancial or release terms when held by the custodian or court. The county site does not publish a bond field.
Booking photographThe photo required as part of Idaho booking. Public online display was not verified, so request the image and any withholding basis.
Custody and releaseCurrent detention, transfer, release, or notification information, subject to what the jail can disclose.
Court layerCase number, hearings, arraignment, amended charges, bond orders, and disposition belong to iCourt or the court clerk.

Fingerprints are part of intake under section 20-601. Yet they never show up as a public web field in the county's material. Height, weight, race, and sex descriptors pop up on unofficial republication sites. No official Washington County interface was verified to carry them. Never let a third-party label stand in for a missing official field.

Booking records and court records also age differently. The jail captures what happened at intake. The court captures everything after the first appearance: dismissal, plea, trial, or sentence. Someone can walk out of the jail long before the court case wraps up.

Request Washington County Booking Photos

Start with the Washington County Sheriff's Records Department for any local booking sheet, booking photograph, arrest report, or releasable case material. The Records Department page names the unit and Records Clerk Stacy Walker. Two filing options exist. Use the county's online Sheriff records form or the downloadable PDF. Whichever route you pick, include a named record, the date, and a case number if you have it.

  1. Identify the person, incident date or date range, city, arresting agency, and case number if available. State that the request seeks the booking record and the booking photograph tied to that incident.
  2. Choose inspection or copies on the form and provide the requested name, mailing address, email if used, phone, signature, and record details. Ask for electronic copies when the custodian offers them.
  3. Ask the Records Custodian to separate releasable material from redacted material and to cite the exemption for anything withheld. A denied photo is not the same as a record that never existed.
  4. For an Idaho resident, use the state fee floor described by the Attorney General: the first two hours of labor and first 100 pages are free, with permitted added labor and copying costs limited by section 74-102. Request an itemized estimate before chargeable work begins.
  5. Track the response under Idaho Code section 74-103. The usual resident framework is a grant or denial within three working days, with notice when more time is needed and an outer period generally reaching ten working days. The online county form uses the shorter wording. Nonresident timing can be longer under the current statute.

Washington County official online records request form for booking records

The online form is a request channel, nothing more. It lets the custodian match you to the right record and flag any access limit before you lean on an image or a charge label.

Note: Washington County publishes no local booking-photo fee schedule, so do not promise a price or release before the custodian responds.

Washington County Busted Mugshot Law in Idaho

Idaho appears to have no general mugshot-publication or anti-pay-to-remove statute on the books right now. That answer comes with limits. It does not make every booking photo private, and it does not force agencies to post photos online either. Section 20-601 requires the photograph at booking. Title 74 builds the public-records request and exemption framework. On top of those, Section 67-3008 governs how Idaho State Police disseminate central criminal history, including a warning when an arrest lacks a disposition under the conditions that statute names.

Before describing any outcome, check the public iCourt case and disposition. Charges entered at intake can shift in many ways, and the court file tells the real story.

Idaho starts from a simple premise: records belong to the public. Section 74-102 presumes openness unless an exemption applies. Its companions, including Section 74-105, carve out juveniles, active investigations, victim details, medical files, and sealed matters. If a photo request is refused, ask which exemption the agency is relying on. A picture taken at booking does not by itself decide whether a copy must be released.

Erasing a record is a separate question. Section 67-3004 spells out expungement paths. One covers people never charged within a year, acquitted, or fully dismissed. Another petition route opens for eligible offenses once the required period passes, with a five-year completion-of-sentence condition for certain categories. The Idaho Supreme Court’s Clean Slate Act material covers shielding too. Shielding closes a record to the public eye, but the record itself survives.

What about a photo already published online? A court order or official correction should go to whichever office holds the file: the Sheriff, the court, ISP, or IDOC. None of them will forward it to an independent site. Each publisher runs its own process, separate from the government record. Busted Newspaper’s removal form wants a post URL plus supporting documents and quotes five to ten days. RecentlyBooked’s policy allows no-fee requests for errors, outdated entries, wrong-person listings, juvenile matters, duplicates, and favorable outcomes. Mugshots.com’s record-maintenance policy accepts documented update requests. These are site policies, not legal guarantees.

Skip anyone selling removal as an official county fix. Never pay a stranger to alter a court record. Fix the source first. Try the publisher’s free route where it fits. Turn to Google’s outdated-content refresh only after the source page is gone or changed. For the access and fee framework, the Idaho Attorney General public-records guidance is the best starting point.

That state guidance draws the line between the general openness rule and the exemptions that might attach to one Washington County booking file.

Washington County Booking Terms

Jail and court paperwork leans on words that sound alike but mark different events. Knowing the difference matters once a person moves from a county booking into a court case, state supervision, or another custody system.

Booking
Jail intake after a person is taken into custody. It includes the photo and fingerprints required by section 20-601 and creates a local detention record.
Arraignment or first appearance
An early court event where the court addresses the case, rights, charges, or release conditions. It is not the same as jail intake.
Bond
A court or jail release condition. A bond decision can change while the underlying booking record remains a historical intake record.
Disposition
The court result, such as dismissal, acquittal, plea, conviction, or another ending recorded by the court. It is the proper place to check what happened after an charge.
Expungement
A statutory process that may remove or seal eligible official records under the conditions of Idaho law. It is not an automatic command to every independent website.
Shielding
A Clean Slate process that limits public access to an eligible record without destroying the underlying record.

The sequence runs arrest, booking and photo, possible release, first appearance, hearings, then disposition. A name can drop out of the live custody channel while the court case is still moving.

Find Washington County Busted Mugshots

Washington County posts no public roster link. There is no official feed of recent arrests either. Start with the agency that can answer your question, then go to the record custodian for a lasting copy. A warrant is a different question from a booking. That's why the Most Wanted Fugitives page handles warrant checking on its own.

  1. For current custody, open the official County Jail page and call 208-414-2124. Ask what current custody information the jail can release.
  2. For a local booking record or photo, use the Sheriff’s online or PDF records request. Give a name, incident date or range, agency, city, and case number when known.
  3. For a person arrested by Weiser Police, ask the city police records contact when the police report is the city agency’s record. The county jail inquiry remains separate.
  4. For court follow-up, search iCourt by case number when possible. If there is no number, use the party name and Washington County filter, compare dates, and check hearings and disposition.
  5. For a sentenced person, use the IDOC Resident/Client Search. It covers IDOC custody, probation, and parole, not just-booked county detainees.
  6. Use BOP, ICE, or a federal facility contact only when the known custody state is federal or immigration custody. Treat secondary pages as leads and verify every result with an official custodian.

Why is there no current roster link? The county jail page offers detention information but nothing to search. No name lookup. No booking-number tool, no photo policy, no results screen. A missing portal is simply that. It is not an invitation to invent a link.

Where Washington County Mugshots Appear

Go to official sources first. Washington County has no public booking feed. The strongest route is a jail call or a records request, followed by court checks and later-custody checks. News stories and third-party pages can supply a lead. But they cannot prove who is in custody now or how a case ended.

The Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, and Mugshots.com county pages are not official city feeds. You may see Weiser, Cambridge, or Midvale labels on them. None is controlled by Washington County. Arrests.org and Mugshots.zone show no Washington County local section either, so no guessed link belongs on a source list.

Local news works the same way. Signal American reports weekly on county court, law enforcement, and public-safety events. KIVI once covered a cross-jurisdiction pursuit that began near Midvale and ended with custody in Malheur County. A story can tell you where an incident traveled. It cannot tell you where the booking record was made.

Note: A photo on an unofficial page is a republication, not confirmation that the person remains in Washington County custody.

Washington County Busted Jail Roster

The county jail page is the official starting point. No current public roster appears there. What it does offer: detention contacts, friends-and-family information, FAQ and PREA material, and a VINE reference. There is no name search and no booking-number search. No charge, bond, release, or photo results either. No update schedule or online retention rule appears. An older directory points to law.co.washington.id.us/sheriff/, but that host does not resolve. Never treat it as a live county portal.

So the practical search fields are request fields, not roster fields. The table keeps that distinction clear. Nobody mistakes a planning checklist for a public interface.

The Idaho Sheriffs’ Association directory lists the same detention address and phone as the county. But its capacity and population figures run old. It cannot say who is in custody today. Rely on the current county jail page and a direct call instead of the dead host.

  1. Open the current county jail page and confirm the detention contact.
  2. Call 208-414-2124 for a current-custody question and ask what information the jail can release.
  3. Use VINE for an eligible notification question, knowing that it is not a photo roster.
  4. Submit the Sheriff request for a historical booking sheet or photo and then use iCourt for the court outcome.

Here is the Idaho Sheriffs’ Association directory capture that confirms the older contact context.

Treat the directory as a way to confirm the facility name and contact details, not as a source of current Washington County booking results.

Washington County Busted Booking Feeds

Washington County has no official booking feed. No same-day list, no 48-hour or 72-hour roundup, and no weekly or downloadable arrest log exists at the county level. Weiser Police posts updates on Facebook, but that page has no date-filtered roster. Cambridge and Midvale run no city feeds. The county Alert Center carries no booking category at all.

Timing questions have no neat answer. Nothing official gets posted, so no schedule, weekend pattern, or retention window applies. Want to check a fresh arrest? Call the jail. Older events go through a records request, and court outcomes live in iCourt.

Third-party sites fill some of that gap. RecentlyBooked refreshes several times a day and covers roughly a 30-day window for the county. Busted Newspaper keeps a longer historical index. Mugshots.com leans on older material, mostly Weiser, Midvale, and Cambridge entries from about 2011 to 2013. These are publisher choices, not county rules, so releases, transfers, corrections, and dispositions can slip through. Treat any secondary feed as unofficial, possibly stale, and incomplete. A date or page count on those sites proves nothing about who is currently booked. A missing result proves nothing either.

Note: Washington County has no documented official posting cadence, so current custody requires the jail rather than a claimed 24-hour or 30-day web window.

Washington County Alerts and App Reality

Washington County leans on three tools: AlertSense, its Notify Me/Alert Center, and VINE. The alert page lets residents sign up for email or text categories like Community Alert and Missing Person. There is no arrest or booking subscription among them. VINE serves a narrower purpose, notifying eligible users about release dates or court dates rather than browsing county bookings or booking photos.

No verified Sheriff's app turned up either. The county pages, quick links, and the Idaho Sheriffs' Association directory show no jail app or app-only photo lookup. Weiser Police does run an official Facebook profile with episodic updates. Cambridge and Midvale have nothing comparable.

Labels matter here. AlertSense and Notify Me handle emergencies and community notices. VINE is a notification tool. A police social page is an incident-news channel. The county Alert Center shows the available categories plainly, and none of them amounts to a current-custody roster or a mugshot search.

Washington County Notify Me community alerts, not a booking roster

Alerts work fine for public-safety notices. But to learn whether someone was actually booked, go to the jail or the Records Unit.

IDOC Photos and Other Custody States

The Idaho Department of Correction runs a Resident/Client Search. It covers people incarcerated, on probation, or on parole under state jurisdiction. Type a last name or IDOC number; a first name is optional. Partial searches carry minimum character rules. IDOC says the basic data updates daily, though it can shift quickly. There is no county filter and no public booking-photo field.

Keep the systems straight. IDOC is not the Washington County jail roster. Someone booked locally may never appear there. If a person later lands in state custody or under supervision, IDOC can answer that. The county booking photo stays with the Sheriff. An ISP record, if ISP holds one, sits with the Idaho State Police.

Federal and immigration systems run on separate tracks. The Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal inmates from 1982 forward by name or register number, with no general booking photo. The ICE Online Detainee Locator needs an A-number plus country of birth or exact identifiers. It also has no photo field. The U.S. Marshals Service explains federal custody but publishes no booking-photo roster.

Someone moved out of the county? Ask the jail about the transfer, then query whichever system matches the custody state. These tools are not one merged database. A county roster, the state client search, federal locators, and court files each hold their own slice. The IDOC search interface shows just how narrow the state path is.

Idaho Department of Correction Resident Client Search for state custody records

The state search answers one question: IDOC supervision or incarceration. It cannot create a county booking record or confirm that a county photo is public.

After a Washington County Booking

A Washington County booking hands the paper trail to the courts. The main tool is the Idaho Supreme Court iCourt Portal. Its Smart Search finds a matter by case number or party name. You can filter by county and pull public case details when they are open. Start with the case number if you have one. Without it, search the last and first name, then compare dates and identifying details. A shared name alone proves nothing.

Need the courthouse itself? The directory lists 256 East Court, P.O. Box 670, Weiser, ID 83672. The main line is 208-414-2092. The magistrate division sits at 208-414-2232. The county's records-access page points general questions to iCourt and sends case-file requests to a courthouse kiosk or the clerk. Sealed, juvenile, protected, and exempt matters simply won't surface in a public search.

A custody case usually follows a familiar sequence. Arrest, booking and photo, release or detention, first appearance, hearings, amended charges, and finally a disposition. Along the way the court may dismiss a charge, accept a plea, acquit, or sentence. The booking record marks the start of that path, not the end.

Turn to official sources for what happens next. iCourt tracks the case through the courts, and the arresting agency handles corrections to the booking record.

Idaho Code section 67-3008 adds its own caution about the Idaho State Police central repository. A local booking page is not a certified criminal-history report. Name the record type and its custodian whenever you cite one.

Old Washington County Records and Archives

Washington County has never published a numeric retention period for booking photos. No online-persistence window, destruction date, or transfer trigger appears anywhere either. Its Records Department describes converting records for permanent storage and retrieval. That wording covers the department's own work, not a promise that every booking photo lives forever on the web. For a specific person and date, ask the Records Custodian which records series and schedule apply.

Older material with real historical value goes through the Idaho State Archives. Its Research Center keeps county and city records, court material, and Idaho newspapers on microfilm. The searchable catalogs and indexes make good starting points. Historical inmate indexes cover territorial and state penitentiary material from 1864 to 1947, some with photographs. That collection is not a Washington County jail archive.

Plan ahead for a visit. The Archives generally wants an appointment about 48 hours in advance. Listed research hours run Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Research Center can be reached at public.archives@ishs.idaho.gov, 208-334-2620, or 2205 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise, ID 83712. A sensible order: ask the Sheriff whether an older county record is still local, ask the clerk or court for judicial files, then ask the Archives reference team about permanent transfers or newspaper series. The Idaho State Archives Research Center is the official archival starting point.

Idaho State Archives research center for historical Washington County records

An archival newspaper image or court report is historical context only. It is not automatically the original Washington County booking photograph.

Note: A record leaving the web does not prove destruction, and an archive record does not prove current custody.

Washington County Busted Mugshots by City

The county's city pages follow its three incorporated places, largest first. Weiser is the county seat and runs its own police department. The Sheriff's service-area page names Weiser, Midvale, and Cambridge. No separate Cambridge or Midvale police booking feed turned up. Keep one distinction in mind: city arrest records and county jail records can be related without being the same file.

Weiser

Weiser Police keeps its own city records and posts regular updates on Facebook. Confirm county custody through the Washington County Jail.

Cambridge

The Sheriff's Office covers the Cambridge area. No separate municipal police or booking feed exists, and the city forms page offers a public-record route.

Midvale

Midvale is served by the Sheriff's Office. There is no city arrest log, and a cross-jurisdiction incident can land someone in another county's custody.

Use the Cities navigation for the dedicated Weiser, Cambridge, and Midvale pages. Each one carries the same custody labels: current jail contact, Sheriff records request, iCourt follow-up, and secondary county coverage.

Unofficial Washington County Mugshot Coverage

Third-party sites sit in the local information landscape without replacing the Sheriff, jail, court, IDOC, or federal custodians. Busted Newspaper runs a county-local page with historical records and a free correction path. RecentlyBooked shows a recent-looking county window and links to the Sheriff, though its data and timing stay under the publisher's control. Mugshots.com carries an older county index tagged Weiser, Midvale, and Cambridge. None of them guarantees a current booking, a full charge list, an accurate image, or a final disposition.

Signal American is the main local news source. It covers court, law enforcement, and public-safety events on a weekly cadence. KIVI adds episodic regional coverage, sometimes crossing state lines. A news story can help you pin down a date and agency for a records request. Just check it against the originating office and iCourt before relying on it.

Do not collect or rehost faces from any of these sources. A booking photograph is sensitive intake material. Use a secondary page to find a lead, then verify the agency, custody state, charge, and court disposition through official channels.
